Mrs. Elva Crawford Shaw Answers Silent Call Buried In Shreveport Last Sunday The many friends of Mrs. Elva Crawford Shaw were very grieved to learn of her death last Friday morning in Hattiesburg, Miss., where she had been for about three weeks for treatment. Death was due it was stated to a complication of diseases. Mrs. Shaw was the wife of Mr. J. H. Shaw who with his wife are well known here, both being members of two of the oldest families of this section. Mrs. Shaw was before her marriage some sixteen years ago, Miss Elva Crawford, daughter of the late J. H. Crawford and numbers her friends by the score in this her hometown. Mrs. Shaw was 13 years old and was a consistent and faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. She is survived by her husband, J. H. Shaw, general freight and passenger agent of the A. & L. M. Railway company of Shreveport, one son, Ralph Bernard Shaw, two sisters, Mrs. W. M. Wallace of Shreveport, Mrs. P. J. Becker also of Shreveport; three brothers, T. M. Crawford of Dallas, Tex., W. A. Crawford of Navasota, Tex., and J. E. Crawford of Shreveport. The body of Mrs. Shaw was taken to Shreveport Friday night preparatory to funeral services, which were conducted on last Sunday.
