Last Rites For Mrs. Leonard Shaw Held At Mt. Zion

Mrs. Iva Bell Horne Shaw of Baytown, Texas, died Saturday, May 14, 1960, at
her home.  She was born Feb. 20, 1924, at Wheeling, Winn Parish and was 36
years old at the time of her death.  She was also a member of the Mt. Zion
Church and was a graduate of Atlanta High School.

Funeral services were held at the Mt. Zion Church at 2 p.m., Monday, May 16,
with Rev. T. A. Brown of Monroe, Rev. D. S. Durand, Montgomery, and Rev. Mr.
Powell of Montgomery, officiating.  Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery under
direction of a Baytown, Texas funeral home.

The following brothers-in-law of the deceased acted as pallbearers: Leslie
Shaw, Cecil Shaw, Odell Shaw, J. T. Shaw, Willard Shaw, and Johnny Stroud.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard Shaw; two daughters, Carol Shaw and Ann
Shaw; one son, Ray Shaw, all of Baytown; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Horne
of Montgomery; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Lee Rikard of Columbia and Mrs.
Minnie Bell Bryant of Montgomery; five brothers, Louis Horne of Ville Platte,
G. W. Horne of Dayton, Ohio, Emmett Horne and N. L. Horne of Baytown, Texas,
and G. L. Horne of Montgomery.
