James E. Shaw, 77, Dies In Tucson, Ariz.

James Eugene Shaw, 77, of Tucson, Ariz., and formerly of Winnfield, died
Sunday, July 28, 1974, in Tucson at Veterans Administration Hospital after a
long illness.

Son of the late Frank L. And Ellen Crawford Shaw, Mr. Shaw was a native of
Winn Parish and served in the U. S. Army during World War I and World War II.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Hixson
Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield with the Rev. Jack Midyett officiating.

Burial was in Winnfield Cemetery.

Survivors include two brothers, Frank Shaw, Jr. of Winnfield and Robert B.
Shaw of Metairie, and one sister, Mrs. Effie Shaw McElroy of Shreveport.

Pallbearers included Rayford Shaw, John Glenn Jackson, Robert Heard, Kelly
Peterson, Tracy Lee Harrell, Jr., and Chris Allen.
