L. R. Shaw, 56, Dies After Long Illness

Leonard R. Shaw, 56, of Atlanta, died Thursday, March 10, 1977 in a hospital
in Alexandria after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Southern Funeral Home Chapel
with burial following in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Montgomery.

A native of Atlanta, Mr. Shaw was a construction worker and a veteran of World
War II.

Survivors include one son, Forrest Ray Shaw of Baytown, Tex.; two daughters,
Mrs. Larry J. Franta of Baytown, Tex., and Mrs. Kelly Fannin of Winnfield;
four brothers, L. L. Shaw, Odell Shaw, and Willard Shaw, all of Atlanta, and
Cecil Shaw of Tullos; one sister, Mrs. Orville Neal of Atlanta; and six
grandchildren.
