W. A. Shaw, 75, Of Montgomery, Dies; Burial June 4

W. A. Shaw, 75, of Montgomery, died June 3 in a Shreveport hospital after a
lengthy illness.  He was a retired farmer.

Funeral services were held at Hargis Baptist Church Monday with the Rev. J.
Powell officiating.  Burial was in the Providence Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow; three sons, L. M. of Springhill, Clifford of
Shreveport, and Jesse Shaw of Oklahoma; a daughter, Mrs. A. McLaren of
Shreveport; two brothers, Jack of Crossett, Ark., and Webb of Oakdale; five
sisters, Mrs. Julia Lockett of Marshall, Tex., Mrs. Grace Harper of Monroe,
Mrs. Lucy Davis of Montgomery, Mrs. Kelly Early and Mrs. Laura Veith of New
Orleans, and nine grandchildren.
