R. L. Shecton Dies; Rites To Be Held Friday

Robert Lewis Shecton of Goldonna died Tuesday, April 9, 1974 in the Jackson
Parish Hospital.

He was a T. V. repairman, a native of New York, and a World War II veteran, and
a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Yankee Springs Baptist Church
with Rev. W. F. Fussell officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery
under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Trudie M. Shecton of Goldonna, one son, Joe
Shecton of Goldonna, one daughter, Mrs. Bobby Guin of Winnfield, one half-brother, Anthony Shecton of West New York, N. J., two sisters, Mrs. Frances
Onieck of Bridge Port, N. Y., and Mrs. Mary Bobcock of Norwich, N. Y.
