Miss Alice Shell, Retired Teacher, Dies Monday

Miss Alice Viola Shell, 96, died at 1 p.m. Monday, February 17, 1969 in the
Autumn Leaves Nursing Home at Winnfield following a lengthy illness.

She was a native of Jackson Parish, a member of the Methodist Church, and
a retired school teacher.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Funeral Home Chapel
with the Rev. Richard Walton officiating.  Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
near Chatham.

Survivors are numerous nieces and nephews.
