Shetley, 84, At Goldonna Funeral services for Miss Laura Shetley, 84, who died in a Winnfield hospital September 7, 1955, after a long illness, were held at the First Methodist Church Thursday at 3 p.m., with the pastor, Rev. Luther Booth, officiating. Burial followed in the family plot in Goldonna Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Collins, James Russell, Sr., James Russell, Jr., Dudley Shell, Robert Smith, and Newton Forrest. Born in Castor, Mo., in 1871, Miss Shetley had been a resident of Winnfield for many years. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. She made her home with her brother, Mike Shetley, and Mrs. Shetley. Besides her brother, she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Lee Townsend, Winnfield, Mrs. Nita Hewitt, Oakdale, and Mrs. Ann Bess, Granite City, Ill., and a host of nieces and nephews.
