J. T. Shell, 59, Dies; Rites At Hurricane Grove

Funeral services for John Thurman Shell, 59, of Sikes, were held at 10:30 a.m.
Saturday at Hurricane Grove Church with the Rev. Edward Smith officiating.

Burial was in Hurricane Grove Cemetery near Sikes.

Mr. Shell died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 1971 in Winnfield, at the
home of his son, Charles Shell, after a long illness.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Vester Norred Shell of Sikes; two sons,
Charles Shell and Ray Shell; a daughter, Mrs. Faye Smiley, all of Winnfield;
and seven grandchildren.
