Mrs. Shepard, 85, Dies; Burial At Old Union

Mrs. Carl Glover Shepard, 85, of Joyce, died Monday, March 1, 1971, in
Winnfield General Hospital.  She was a native of Arkansas and a member of Old
Union Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at East Winnfield
Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Yocum and Rev. J. L. Holt officiating. 
Interment was in Old Union Church Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Woodrow Shepard of Joyce and Earl Shepard of Fort
Worth, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Newman and Mrs. Robeline Haskins,
both of Joyce; one brother, Fred Glover of Coushatta; seven grandchildren and
six great grandchildren.
