Robert Shirley, 52, Dies; Rites To Be Thursday

Robert Shirley, 52, of Dodson, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 27, 1975 in
the VA Hospital in Alexandria after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Southern
Funeral Home here with the Rev. Deloy Shows officiating.

Burial will be in Dry Prong Cemetery at Dry Prong.

Mr. Shirley was retired from the U. S. Air Force.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Wayne Shirley of Myrtle Beach, SC., and
Randolph Lee Shirley of Dodson; three daughters, Mrs. Martha J. Gould of
Blytheville, Ark., Miss Karen Shirley and Miss Charlotte Shirley, both of
Dodson; two brothers, James Shirley of Winnfield and Ezell Shirley of Jena;
three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Griffin of Georgetown, Mrs. Katy J. Bradford of
Jonesboro, and Mrs. Thelma Waggoner of Dry Prong, and one grandchild.
