Mrs. Ida Shelton Buried At Sardis Wednesday, July 6

Succumbs in Shreveport Hospital After Long Illness

Mrs. Ida Shelton, 40, of Atlanta, died in a Shreveport hospital at 6 p.m.
Tuesday, July 4, after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at the Sardis Church at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. 
Interment was made in the Sardis Cemetery.

Surviving the deceased are her husband, Joseph Shelton of Atlanta; three sons,
Charles P., Roy, and Billy Shelton, all of Atlanta; one daughter, Elaine
Shelton of Atlanta; three brothers, Voyel and T. J. Rice of Winnfield and Bill
Rice of Smackover, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Isabelle Evans of Winnfield,
Mrs. Edna Warden of Longview, Texas, and Mrs. Myrtle Harrington, of Winnfield.
