A. L. Shirley, Jr.

A. L. Shirley, Jr., 45, of Winnfield died Tuesday, April 3, 1979 at the M. D.
Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 Thursday at South Winnfield Baptist Church
with Rev. Kelly Tingle officiating.  Burial, under direction of Southern
Funeral Home, will be in Zion Hill Cemetery at Tannehill.

Mr. Shirley was a member and Deacon of South Winnfield Baptist Church, Music
Director for 16 years also at that church and was a retired maintenance
foreman at Olinkraft for 13 years.  He was a native of Winn Parish.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Evie Sue Shirley, two sons Kevin Shirley and
Todd Shirley, both of Winnfield, one daughter, Mrs. Teresa Mayeaux,
DeRidder, La., his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Shirley, Sr. Of Winnfield, four
sisters, Mrs. Jewel Johns of Ruston, Mrs. Gayle Stewart of Winnfield, Mrs.
Linda McCarty and Mrs. Barbara Shelton, both of Atlanta, and one grandchild.
