Robert L. Shirley Dies Suddenly Late Monday

Last Rites Conducted At The Zion Hill Church

Funeral services for Robert Lee Shirley, aged 69, who died suddenly late
Monday, December 16, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday from the Zion Hill Church
with Rev. H. H. McBride, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield,
officiating.

Mr. Shirley, a long time resident of Winn Parish, is survived by seven sons,
C. J. Shirley, Coushatta; Ernest, Bird, Homer, Harvey, C. M., and A. R.
Shirley, all of Winn Parish; five daughters, Mrs. Russell McElroy, Mrs. E. V.
Blair, Mrs. Sam Dunn, Mrs. Della Griffin, and Miss Mildred Shirley, all of
Winn Parish.

Pallbearers were Cobia Blair, Calvin Robinson, A. B. Hodge, and J. C. Jordan.

Interment was made in the Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Southern
Funeral Home.
