Former Ward Ten Police Juror Dies

Sheriff Bryant Sholars and Lewis Sholars were called to LaRue, Texas,
Wednesday on account of the death of their uncle, D. W. Sholars, 85 year old
former resident of this parish, who died at his home in LaRue.

Funeral services were held today near LaRue.

The deceased for many years lived in Ward Ten, Winn Parish, where he served as
member of the police jury and school board.

Surviving are his widow, several children, grandchildren, and great
grandchildren.  He also leaves two sisters, Miss Frances Sholars of Verda and
Mrs. Annie Walters of El Dorado, Ark.
