Brother Of Local Residents Dies In Alexandria

Funeral services for Herman B. Shows, 68, of Pineville, were held at 2 p.m.
Monday at Zion Rest Baptist Church near Jonesboro with the Revs. R. J. Wade
and Leland Swannner officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home
of Winnfield.

Mr. Shows died Saturday, April 2, 1977 at Rapides General Hospital in
Alexandria after a brief illness.  He was an attendant at Central State
Hospital in Pineville.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Johnnie Shows of Pineville; one son, Stanley
J. Shows of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Miss Pat Shows of Vicksburg, Miss.; two
brothers, Albert Shows of Atlanta, La., and Julius Shows of Pineville; two
sisters, Mrs. Bermie Lashley of Winnfield and Mrs. Bertie Lee Dean of Atlanta,
La.; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
