Mrs. Shows was 61 years of age. She united with the Harmony Grove Baptist Church when quite young and lived a consecrated Christian life, and was a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Shows passed away at her home in Tallulah, La. The body was brought to the home of her brother, Mr. A. A. Hammons of Dodson Sunday afternoon and was laid to rest in the Harmony Grove Cemetery Monday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Emmons officiated. She leaves besides a host of friends to mourn her going, her husband, Mr. Albert Shows, three sons, Monroe, Eugene, and John, all of Tallulah, one sister, Mrs. Jane Thompson, of Sikes, and four brothers, John Hammons of Jonesboro, A. A. Hammons of Dodson, and Lum Hammons of Gaars Mill, and Frank Hammons, Gaars Mill.
