Funeral services for Miss N. Shumake Held Sunday P. M.

Funeral services for Miss Nannie Shumake, age 87, who died last Friday morning
at the home of her niece, Mrs. J. M. Jenkins, were held Sunday afternoon at
five o'clock conducted by the Rev. H. H. McBride.  Interment was made in the
Jerusalem Cemetery, five miles west of town.

Miss Shumake was the daughter of the late Fleming and Kitty Shumake, pioneer
settlers of this section.  For the past twenty years Miss Shumake has been
making her home with Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Jenkins.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. J. H. Moore of Franklin Parish, and two
nieces, Mrs. Jenkins and Mrs. W. H. Bradford of Tucson, Ariz.
