Mrs. Sills was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Pollock, LA #73 and Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was also a former employee of the Grant Parish Council on Aging and a long time correspondent for the Colfax Chronicle. She is survived by her One Daughter, Frances (Sills) Scobee and her husband Gary of Atlanta, La. Two Grandchildren Rod Scobee and his wife Kim of Benton, La. Ronda Walker and her husband Rodney of Atlanta, La. Three Great-Grandchildren Kristen, Kimberly, and Kody Walker Two Step-Great-Grandchildren Kallie and Zachary Cade Lynch Mrs. Sills was the daughter of the late Silas Smith and the late Lydia (Rambo) Smith. She was also preceded in death by: Her husband of 51 years, Mr. Louis A. Sills Two Sisters, Hilda Starling Bennie Mae Crooks Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Homes, Inc., 202 E. Lafayette St., Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, January 7, 2005 and from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, January 8, 2005. Funeral services will be at Southern Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 8, 2005 , Rev. Loyd Whitman and Rev. Chuck Evans officiating. Interment will be at Mars Hill Cemetery in Verda, La. Kody Walker, Donnie Lasyone, Buck Sills, Pat Tinnerello, Greg Crooks, and Ronnie Lasyone will be serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rod Scobee, Gerald Leger, and Rodney Walker. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Zion Hill Baptist Church in Williana, LA.
