Mrs. Simpson, 38, Succumbs After Lengthy Illness

Mrs. Dorothy Inez Simpson, 38, of Winnfield, died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 9,
1972 in Martin Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in New Jerusalem Baptist
Church with Rev. Rayford Higgs and Rev. Homer Ivy officiating.

Interment will be in New Jerusalem Cemetery under direction of Southern
Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors are her husband, Hayes Simpson of Winnfield, five daughters, Mrs.
Patricia Lawson of Shreveport, Mrs. Cathey Estes of Winnfield, Nancy Gayle
Simpson, Laura Ann Simpson, Virgie Mae Simpson of Winnfield, her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Jess Tucker of Columbia, three brothers, Oria Hayes of Sikes, Dwight
and Raymond Tucker of Columbia; one sister, Mrs. Edwin Mitchell of Columbia
and two grandchildren.
