Warren Allen Dies Mr. George M. Simpson, of Shreveport, father of Mrs. W. Warren Allen, Sr., passed away Tuesday, June 25, at 1:30 a.m. Mr. Simpson was born July 25, 1897 in Monroe, La. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Shreveport, a veteran of World War I, Past Commander of VFW, member of the American Legion, member of Joppa Lodge No. 362, a member of the Shreveport Consistory. For over 50 years he was accountant for the law firm of Blanchard, Walker, O'Quinn, and Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtice Amos Simpson, two daughters, Mrs. Cecil J. Johnson of Shreveport and Mrs. W. Warren Allen, Sr., of Winnfield; seven grandchildren, one brother, Herbert Simpson of Carthage, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Hart of Shreveport, Mrs. Mahlon Berry of Jackson, Miss., and Mrs. Jack Holly of Corpus Christi, Texas. Services were held at one o'clock Wednesday at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Shreveport, La., with Rev. Porter M. Caraway officiating. Pallbearers were Sidney Johnson, Arthur Simpson, Harry Simpson, Mahlon Berry, Arthur Dinkins, Peyton Nelson, John Prudhomme, Jr., and W. Warren Allen, Jr. Mr. Simpson visited in Winnfield quite often and has made many friends and acquaintances in this area.
