L. M. Simmons, 67, Dies After Lengthy Illness

Louis M. Simmons, 67, of Winnfield, died at 8 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 1972 in
Winnfield General Hospital after a lengthy illness.  Funeral services were
held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First Presbyterian Church.

The Rev. W. R. Gage officiated with burial in New Hope Cemetery under the
direction of Southern Funeral Home.

A Jackson Parish native, Mr. Simmons was a foreman of the timber industry.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Artie Simmons, Winnfield; three brothers,
Harold Simmons, Sikes, Alvin Simmons, Orval Simmons, both of Winnfield; and
one sister, Mrs. May Farrington, Sicily Island.
