Funeral Rites For Robert W. Simmons Held

Robert W. Simmons, 70, died as a result of a heart attack while on a camping
trip at Chivery (sic) Dam since October 13.  He was a resident of Winnfield.

He is survived by one son, Dick Simmons of Baton Rouge; one daughter; four
brothers, Harold Simmons of Sikes, L. M. Simmons of Winnfield, Alvin Simmons
and Arvil Simmons, both of Winnsboro; and one sister, Mrs. Leo Carter of
Winnsboro.

Funeral services were held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Southern Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Robert Gage officiating.  Burial was in New Hope Cemetery
near Dodson.
