Pfc. S. Simmons Killed in Action in Germany, March 2

Son of Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Simmons of Sikes, Louisiana

Pfc. Sharon Simmons, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Simmons of Sikes, was reported
killed in action in Germany on March 7th, according to information from the
War Department.

Pfc. Simmons was 19 years old and had been in the service a little more than a
year.  He has two other brothers in service, Shelby and Edgar.  In addition to
his parents and two brothers he is survived by a number of sisters.
