Well Known Winn Resident Dies

Funeral services for W. M. Simmons, who died Thursday, January 31, 1952, in a
local hospital were conducted at the Friendship Baptist Church Saturday, Feb.
2.  Judge Cas Moss conducted the services, assisted by the Rev. E. B. Barton
and the Rev. Calvin Robinson.

Pallbearers were Grady Simmons, Shirley Simmons, Kermit Crain, Fred Tucker,
Kermit M. Simmons, and C. M. Martin.  The remaining grandsons were named as
honorary pallbearers.

Surviving are W. V. Simmons, Mrs. John T. Martin of West Monroe, Mrs. W. A.
Crain of Fellowship Community, Mrs. E. C. Gates and Guy Simmons of Dodson, Rt.
1, Horace Simmons, Jack Simmons, P. C. Simmons, of Shreveport, and K. C.
Simmons, who is principal of the Dodson High School.
