Mrs. Josephine Smith Buried At Hebron Sunday

Mrs. Josephine Smith, of Sikes, died Saturday morning at 4 a.m. after a long
illness in a local hospital.  Funeral services were held at Hebron Baptist
Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.

Mrs. Smith, a well known resident of Winn Parish for many years, is survived
by two sisters, Mrs. Stanley Kennedy of Texas and Mrs. J. M. Roberson of
Urania; one brother, Charlie Thompson of Sikes; one daughter, Mrs. H. M. Mayes 
of Sikes; five sons, Lawson and Homer Smith of Monroe, and Doyle, Clayton, and
Floyd Smith, all of Beaumont, Texas; and 14 grandchildren, and one great
grandchild.
