(June 10, 1934 - June 9, 2004) 


Winnfield, LA.
Mr. B.G. Skains, age 69 of Winnfield, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2004 in the Veteran's Affairs Hospital in Alexandria. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the East Winnfield Baptist Church.
He was the son of the late Luther Skains and the late Lidia (Wilson) Skains.
Mr. Skains was preceded in death by his daughter: Debra Lynn Skains.
He was survived by his wife: Mary Ellen Skains; Two Daughters: Cynthia Renee Johnson of Winnfield, LA.; One Step Daughter: Patricia Kay Carlock of Alexandria, LA.; Three sons: James Dewey Skains of Winnfield, LA., Scott Alan McDougal of Boyce LA., and Brian H. McDougal of New Freedom PA.; Three sisters: Ruth Diane Carpenter of Calvin LA., Sue Lafolette of Shreveport LA., and Judy Evans of Shreveport LA.
Friends may visit in the Southern Funeral home on Thursday, June 10, 2004 from 5PM until 9PM and on Friday from 8AM until 10AM. Funeral services will be Friday June the 11, 2004 at 10AM in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Winnfield with Reverend Deloy Shows and Reverend Bob Tuggle officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Ccemetery in Joyce LA.
Pallbearers will be: Jess Carpenter, Seth Carpenter, Wayne Skains, Hershel Machen, Craig Cockerham and Ricky Barber.
