Riley E. Slaughter

Services for Riley E. Slaughter of Dodson were held at 1 p.m. Sunday in the
chapel of Southern with the Revs. Wallace Ingles and James Moffett
officiating.  Burial was in Hurricane Grove Cemetery, Sikes.

Slaughter, 76, died at 4:40 p.m. Friday, March 30, 1984 in Lincoln General
Hospital, Ruston.

He was a member of Hurricane Grove Baptist Church, the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge
No. 280 F. & A. M., and the Monroe Scottish Rite Bodies.

Survivors include his wife, Laverne Slaughter of Dodson; two daughters, Ella
Carson of Jonesboro and Linda Bustin of Sikes; three brothers, Tevis Slaughter
and Taft Slaughter, both of Hornbeck and Woodrow Slaughter of Robeline; two
sisters, Goldie Mae Stroud and Lovie Rodgers, both of Many; and five
grandchildren.
