Nancy Bell Sledge 
(July 27, 1915 - November 5, 2005) 

Mrs. Nancy Bell (Melton) Sledge, age 90, of Winnfield, La., passed away 
Saturday, November 5, 2005, at the Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Winnfield, 
La. Mrs. Sledge was a protestant and a long time resident of Metairie, La. She 
owned and operated the Rue Royal Beauty Shop in New Orleans, La. for many 
years. 
She was the daughter of the late B. E. Melton and the late Voila (Howell) 
Melton. Mrs. Sledge was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, 
Jack Sledge; two brothers and two sisters. 

She is survived by her 

Two Sons, H. Ray Barrett and wife Marilyn of Nassau Bay, Texas Melton M. 
Barrett and wife Ezola of Houma, La. 

Two Sisters, Fannie Coleman of Olla, La. Bobbie Jean Tullos of Winnfield, La. 

One Brother, P. C. Melton of Salem, S.D. 

Nine grandchildren Seventeen great-grandchildren 

Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La., 
where the family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Monday, November 
7, 2005 at which time funeral services will be held in the parlor at Southern 
Funeral Home, with Rev. Jack Miller officiating. Interment will be at Liberty 
Chapel Cemetery in Williana, La. Friends may post messages of condolence
