Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine "Katie" Smedley, age 88 of Jonesboro will be held 2PM, Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at
Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Bill Moore and Stuart Toms officiating. Burial will be in the Jonesboro City
Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Mrs. Smedley died Monday, May 24, 2004 at Lincoln General Hospital following a lenghty illness.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4PM until 8PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smedley is preceded in death by her husband: Albert Smedley and daughter
Francis Barlow. Mrs. Smedley is survived by a grandaughter Terrie Williams and husband Eddie of Quitman; two great
grandsons: Eric Williams and wife Susan and Chris Williams and wife Christi both of Quitman; three great-great
grandchildren: Christian Robinson, Katie Ann Williams and Hunter Williams all of Quitman; two brothers: Walter Runyon and
Henry Runyon and wife Mary Vee both of Jonesboro; a sister Evelyn Smitherman and husband Hoye of Jonesboro and many other
relatives and friends.
