Grover Smith, 83, Succumbs; Rites At Hebron

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Hebron Church for
Grover C. Smith, age 83, who died at Columbia Heights Nursing Home after a
long illness.

Mr. Smith was a former resident of Hebron Community having lived there for
more than 50 years.

Rev. W. D. Carson and Rev. Virgie Wilson officiated at the services and burial
was in the church cemetery.

Survivors included five daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Meredith of Columbia, Mrs.
Birtie Deville of Orange, Texas, Mrs. Ruby Meredith of Columbia, Mrs. Elaine
Brown of Grayson, and Mrs. Lois Lipscomb of Natchez; three sons, G. C. Smith,
Jr., Ray and R. D. Smith, all of Tioga; 17 grandchildren and 10 great
grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews.
