Mrs. Etta Smith Succumbs; Buried Jan. 4 At Mt. Zion

Mrs. Etta Smith, a resident of Winnfield for many years, died January 3 in a
Shreveport hospital.  She was 86.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. January 4 in Southern Funeral Home
chapel, with burial following in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Womack of Shreveport;
two sisters, Mrs. Hettie Box of Montgomery and Miss Lennie Durham
of Leesville; three brothers, J. N. Carter of Montgomery, Barney Carter and
Eugene Carter, both of Winnfield; three grandchildren and seven great
grandchildren.
