Janette Bemont Smith

Services for Janette Bemont Smith, 40, of Winnfield were held at 2:00 p.m.
Sunday in the chapel of Southern with the Revs. J. P. Miles and Charles Haley
officiating.  Burial was in Pine Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith died at 6:30 a.m. Friday, December 17, 1982 in the Louisiana State
University Medical Center, Shreveport.

She was a lifelong resident of Winnfield and a member of Laurel Heights
Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Valley Joe Smith, of Winnfield; one son, John
Randal Smith of Winnfield; two daughters, Cindy Luther and Teresa Smith, both
of Winnfield; her mother, Lillie Bemont of Winnfield; one brother, George D.
Bemont of Winnfield, and two sisters, Elizabeth Bemont of Winnfield and Shelia
Baldeas of Fort Worth, Texas.
