Mrs. C. B. Smith Dies; Burial At Old Bethel

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida I. Smith, 88, of Winnfield, were held at 10 a.m.
Monday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home here with Revs. Calvin Phelps
and Charles Haley officiating.

Burial was in Old Bethel Cemetery at Clarks.

Widow of C. B. Smith, Mrs. Smith was a native of La Chute, Louisiana and
a member of the Catholic Church.

Mrs. Smith died Saturday, May 17, 1975 in a local hospital after a brief
illness.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Reggie Gates of Winnfield; four
grandchildren, Bobbie Jean McDade of Baton Rouge, Reggie Lou Straughn of
Winnfield, Carey Webster Smith of Morganza, La., and Mary Sue Campagna of
Baton Rouge, La.

Six great grandchildren, Kimberly Kyle Kelly and Kenneth Layne McDade, both of
Baton Rouge, Stacey Leigh Straughan, Susan Margaret Straughan, and Steve
Thomas Straughn, all of Winnfield, and Jodi Lynn Smith of Morganza, La. and
one great-great grandchild, Kourtney Kyle Kelly, Baton Rouge, La.

Pallbearers included Raymon Bowen, Frank Shaw, Bluch Haddox, Keith Kelly,
Harper Terrill, and Elton Brewton.
