Mrs. Eric Smith Succumbs; Buried Here August 27

Mrs. Eric Smith, 69, died at her home in Winnfield at 5 p.m. August 25 after a
long illness.  She was a native of Marion County, Miss., and had been a
resident of Winnfield since 1913.  She was a member of the First Methodist
Church.

Funeral services were conducted at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m.
August 27, 1960, with the Rev. R. H. Staples officiating.  Assisting with the
rites was Rec. C. C. Martin.

Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under direction of Southern
Funeral Home.  Pallbearers were E. L. McGuffey, Dan Dunklebarger, Glen Guin,
Clyde Smith, Sr., Sollie Hilton, and O. K. Graves.

Mrs. Smith is survived by one sister, Mrs. Janie Gates of Winnfield and
several nieces and nephews of Mississippi.  She was the sister in law of Mrs.
George Smith of Winnfield.
