Brother Of Norman Smith Dies In Swartz

Ivy Smith, 77, of Swartz, La., died unexpectedly at his home Monday.  He was
the brother of Norman Smith of Winnfield.

Mr. Smith was the former owner of College Grocery Store in Monroe.  He was a
member of College Place Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. 

Besides his brother of Winnfield, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Zola Smith
of Swartz; and one sister, Mrs. Nadie Hogan of Choudrant.

Last rites were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Thurman Davis
officiating at the College Place Baptist Church.  Burial was in Loch Arbor
Cemetery.
