Funeral Services For J. T. Smith Are Held Monday P. M.

Funeral services for John T. Smith, age 80, of Ward 2, who died at a
Shreveport hospital were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the Union
Baptist Church five miles east of Winnfield.  The Rev. Jesse Burch of Oak
Grove officiated.  Interment was made in the Union Church Cemetery.

The deceased is survived by three sons, James T. Smith of Oak Grove, W. L.
Smith of Sikes, and C. A. Smith of Forest, La.; one brother, G. W. Smith of
Monroe; and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Eubanks of Lake Providence, La.  Mrs. I. W.
Allen of Shreveport and Mrs. Aubrey Richmond of Bossier City are
granddaughters of the deceased.
