  S. N. Smith, 56, Winn Native Dies in Lafayette
  
  Funeral services were held Friday at 10 a.m. in a Lafayette Funeral Home
  Chapel for S. N. "Smitty" Smith of Lafayette. He died Wednesday, May 1,
  1968 after a brief illness.
  
  Interment was in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
  
  A native of Winn Parish, Mr. Smith was a member of Hope Lodge No. 145 F.
  and A.M., Robert H. Cage Chapter No. 56 R.A.M., Pagen Commandry No, 16,
  Knights Templar, Jerusalem Temple, and was president of the Evangeline
  Shrine Club of Lafayette.
  
  He was a brother of Mrs. Manuel Long of Route two, of Winnfield.
  
  Other survivors include his widow, his stepmother, three daughters,
  three sons, two sisters, one brother and eight grandchildren.
