N. Smith Funeral services will be held at First National Funeral Home Chapel Friday at 10 a.m. for S. N. "Smitty" Smith, 56, who died at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Highway, Carencro Highway. Survivors include his widow, Pat Smith; his stepmother, Ethel Smith of Alexandria; three daughters, Mrs. Noland P. Menard and Miss Marcia Lynn, both of Lafayette; and Mrs. Joseph Badeaux of Baton Rouge; three sons, Samuel of Scott, John William and Steven Norwood, both of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Manuel Long of Winnfield and Wanda Clark of Alexandria; one brother, W. W. Smith of Shreveport, and eight grandchildren. Mr. Smith was employed by Prudhomme Truck Tank Service as field representative. He was a member of Hope Lodge No. 145 F. and A.M., Robert H. Cage Chapter No. 56 R.A.M., Pagen Commandery No. 16, Knights Templar, Jerusalem Temple, and was president of The Evangeline Shrine Club of Lafayette. In memoriam donations should be made to the Shrines Crippled Children's Hospital in Shreveport. Visiting hours until 10 p.m. today by request of the family.
