All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: April 1, 1943 Winn Parish Enterprise Last Rites Held For Mrs. Amanda Smit Mrs. Amanda Henderson Smit, member of a pioneer Winn Parish family, died March 14 at her home in the Fellowship community near Sikes at the age of 65 years, 5 months, and 26 days.* "Aunt Mandy" as she was affectionately called, had been in ill health for several months. She was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish. Surviving are her husband, Henry Smith, one brother, W. J. Henderson of Jonesboro; two sisters, Mrs. A. C. Boyd of Dodson and Mrs. H. L. Young of Dodson, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Cass Crain at Fellowship Church and interment was in the Fellowship Cemetery.
