Last Rites Held For Mrs. Amanda Smit

Mrs. Amanda Henderson Smit, member of a pioneer Winn Parish family, died March
14 at her home in the Fellowship community near Sikes at the age of 65 years,
5 months, and 26 days.*

"Aunt Mandy" as she was affectionately called, had been in ill health for
several months.  She was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish.

Surviving are her husband, Henry Smith, one brother, W. J. Henderson of
Jonesboro; two sisters, Mrs. A. C. Boyd of Dodson and Mrs. H. L. Young of
Dodson, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Cass Crain at Fellowship Church
and interment was in the Fellowship Cemetery.

(According to Briley's Cemetery Directory, Amanda Smith was b. 1875., d. 1941,
which is in total conflict with this obituary)
