Son Of Former Winn Residents Dies In Texas

Don Q. Smith, Jr., 24, of Houston, Texas, died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, February
29, 1968 in a Houston hospital.  He was a native of Alexandria and a student
at Methodist Hospital in Houston at the time of his death.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Q. Smith, Sr., of Sulphur,
former residents of Winnfield, a sister, Mrs. Dottie Lee Trahan of Bunkie, and
his grandmother, Mrs. Rose Smith of Georgetown.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hixson Funeral Home in
Sulphur.  Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Park.
