SMITH. He died with Swamp fever, his illness lasting only about 40 hours, when the dark clouds of death hovered over him. Wiley leaves a wife and five children, father and mother, three brothers and one sister, besides hosts of friends, to mourn his death. The chain that bound family ties so close is now broken. There is a missing link that can not be replaced. Oh, how sad it is to know that we must part with one so near and dear, although we know his spirit has been borne away be the snow white Angel Band to that peaceful home beyond the skies where there is no more pain, temptation and sorrow. Weep not dear friends and family, for it is the workings of an Allwise Providence, the Giver and Receiver of our spirits. So we'll say farewell, dear husband, father and friend, till we meet again.
