Charles Tolbird officiating. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery near Sikes. Mr. Smith died July 29, 1989 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Mr. Smith was a native of Winn Parish and resident of West Monroe for 45 years. He was a member of the Seigle Assembly of God Church, retired from Borden Dairy Co., and an army veteran of World War II. Survivors include two sons, Tommy Smith and Terry Smith, both of West Monroe; two daughters, Cheryl Gardner of West Monroe and Paula Smith of Downsville; one brother, Mailon Smith of Winnfield; four sisters, Vola G. Brown, Swartz, Eula Warner, Winnfield, Vira Thompson, Dallas, Texas, and Alpha Martin, Oak Grove; two grandchildren, Misti Smith and Troy Gardner. Pallbearers were Mike Roberts, Mike Gates, Huey Warner, William Warner, Glen Thompson, and Jackie Vines.
