H. Smith Held Saturday Funeral services for John H. Smith, 72, were held at 2:30 Saturday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield with Rev. L. G. Mabry and Rev. Francis Ashley officiating. Burian was in Old Corinth Cemetery. He was a native of Winn Parish and a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. Smith, a retire farmer, and a veteran of World War I, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, December 2, 1966, in a Winnfield hospital after a short illness. Survivors are three brothers, Marion, Odis, and Floyd, all of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Rosier, Shreveport and Mrs. Ella Jordan of Winnfield. Pallbearers were Melvin Smith, Kenneth Smith, Earl Jordan, George Jordan, Sammy Rosier, and Julius Crawford.
