Leonard Smith

Funeral services for Leonard A. Smith, 41, of Winnfield, were held at 2 p.m.
Wednesday in United Pentecostal Church here.

Officiating were Rev. Joseph Johnson, the Rev. Madison Powell, the Rev.
Durwood Hallmark, and the Rev. Leland Briggs.

Burial was in Jordan Hill Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral
Home of Winnfield.

Mr. Smith died Monday, December 26, 1977 at 5:30 p.m. in a local hospital
after a brief illness.

A native of Winn Parish, Mr. Smith was a member of the United Pentecostal 
Church.

Mr. Smith had been employed by L. L. Brewton Lumber Co., since 1960 as
accounting and office manager after which the lumber company was sold to
Louisiana Pacific Corp. and he had worked in this same capacity for five years.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Smith of Winnfield; one son, Mark Smith
of Winnfield; one daughter, Miss Felicia Smith of Winnfield; his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Odis Smith of Winnfield; and one brother, Kenneth Smith of Ball.
