Funeral Services For W. A. Smith Held March 15

William A. Smith, 83, expired at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 14, at his home in
Sikes.  He was a native of Sikes.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday in Hebron Baptist Church with
interment in the church cemetery, under direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Winnfield.

Survivors are three sons, Wayland Smith, Oak Grove, Alon Smith, West Monroe,
Mailon Smith, Sikes; five daughters, Alpha Martin, Oak Grove, Vola Pullen,
Readhimer, Eula Warner, Winnfield, Clara Askin, West Monroe, Vira Thompson,
Dallas, Texas; one brother, Grover Smith, Alexandria; 27 grandchildren, 12
great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
