Jasper N. Smith, 92, Succumbs

Jasper N. Smith, 92, died Sunday, April 30, 1967 at 9 p.m. in a Winnfield
hospital after a long illness.  He was a retired sawmill worker.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Churcn
near Sikes with Revs. Willie Broadway and Lester Carpenter officiating. 
Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern
Funeral Home of Winnfield.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Charlie Gaar and Mrs. J. C. White of
Dodson and Mrs. Avery Cheeks of California; a son, Flarice Smith of West
Monroe, 11 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
