G. Smith, Dodson Native, Dies Thursday Mrs. Lorella Faith Smith, 97, of Dodson, but a resident of Alexandria for many years, died at 2 a.m. Thursday, November 4, 1971 at an Alexandria nursing home after a long illness. She was the widow of the late J. G. Smith and member of a pioneer family of Winn Parish. She was active in the Dodson Methodist Church for many years. Funeal services were held Friday at 2 p.m. in Dodson Methodist Church with Rev. Sherman, the pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Grafton Shaw, a former pastor. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery near Dodson. Survivors include two sons, Verne Smith of Start and Harold G. Smith of New Orleans; four daughters, Mrs. J. B. Milam of Ruston, Mrs. G. W. Smith of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Lonnie L Jones and Mrs. Edith Terral, both of Shreveport; a sister, Miss Zattie Faith of Alexandria; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased.
