Infant Son of Mr. and Mrs. Odis Smith Dies

Marvin Smith, young son of Mr. and Mrs. Odis Smith of the Jordan Hill
community, nine miles south of Winnfield, died at the hoe of his parents
Monday.  His death was said to be due to an attack of diphtheria.  Interment
was made in the Big Creek Cemetery.  Funeral services were conducted by the
Rev. T. R. Long at 10 a.m. Tuesday.  The child was eighteen months old and the
only child of the parents.
