Funeral Services for S. M. McCain Held Sunday, 27th

    Funeral services for Samuel Mount McCain, age 39, World War veteran,
who died at the Veterans Hospital at Alexandria on Friday, December 24
were held here Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, December 26.  Rev. Alwin
Stokes, pastor of the First Presbyterian church conducted the services.
    Mr. McCain had resided here with his family for about six years.  He
is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gracie McCain of Winnfield, La., and two
small children, John Bryant McCain and Roseanna McCain; his father, E.
S. McCain of Winnfield; three brothers, E. S. McCain, Jr., Pineville,
La.; R. L. McCain, Forth Worth, Texas; J. T. McCain, Hot Springs, Ark.;
and one sister, Mrs. D. J. Houston, Coushatta, La.
